EverUp is a free UK app that pays you instant cashback, up to 20%, on gift cards for over 330 brands.

Buy a gift card for a retailer you already shop with, and the cashback lands straight in your account.

On top of the cashback, EverUp adds a fun element: free daily chances to play instant-win games like spin-the-wheel and scratchcards, where you can win extra cash prizes and coins, at no cost to you.

Use EverUp to buy gift cards for cashback and more chances to win

EverUp's main feature is its gift card shop. You can buy popular gift cards, such as Amazon, Argos, IKEA and M&S, and get instant cashback plus extra coins to use in their free games.

There are regularly boosted cashback offers on top of the standard rate too, I've seen these recently on brands like Costa, B&M, Currys, H&M, TUI, Hobbycraft, Uber Eats and Wickes.

Win real cash prizes without spending a penny

There's a free daily raffle you can enter for a chance to win coins, which you then use to play EverUp's cash prize games.

The scratchcard games pay out anywhere from a few pence to £5, while the spin-the-wheel games can pay out up to £750, plus there are gift card prizes up for grabs on the wheel games too.

All of it is free to play, using virtual coins you win or gain when buying gift cards, never your own money.

You can cash out any money you win straight to your bank account, or convert it into a gift card instead, which has the added bonus of earning you even more virtual coins in the process.

Is EverUp legit and how does it make money?

Yes, EverUp is a legitimate company, EverUp Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company number 12462608) and registered with the ICO.

I've had my account since around 2021/2022 and have received genuine cash prizes paid out over that time.

Like other cashback and gift card apps, EverUp makes money by taking a small commission from retailers each time you buy a gift card through the app, then shares some of that back with you as instant cashback, rather than charging users directly.

One thing worth knowing: the cashback only actually saves you money if you're buying gift cards for places you'd shop at anyway. Buying a gift card you don't need just because there's cashback on it isn't a saving, it's extra spending.

EverUp review

There are lots of instant cashback apps for gift cards these days, it's become a popular way to save money over the past few years, and EverUp is one of many.

It's worth knowing it didn't start out this way. EverUp originally launched as a prize-linked savings app, back when it worked more like a savings account with cash prizes to be won. Since then, it's dropped the savings element altogether and moved fully into being an instant gift card cashback app with the prize games built in.

These days, the main thing I use EverUp for is the free chances to win cash prizes: raffles, spin-the-wheel games and scratchcards, all completely free to enter. My biggest win so far has been £35 on a spin-the-wheel game.

You get more chances the more gift cards you buy through the app too.

With so many of these apps around, EverUp is just one worth having in the mix. Much like my favourite cashback sites, you'll likely find one or two instant cashback gift card apps become your go-to.
