Best UK Cashback Websites, Apps & Sign-Up Bonuses

In the UK, and globally, there are loads of websites and apps that pay free cashback on everyday online and in-store shopping.

In this blog post, you'll find a list of the best cashback sites in the UK. Plus, many signup bonuses, referral codes and promo codes so you can get even more free cash.

First, you should always check for cashback

Before buying anything online or booking a service, you should always check for cashback. It's easy to do, since many of the main cashback websites have browser extensions, so you know instantly whether the site you're shopping on has a cashback offer. This means you'll never miss out on getting free money back for your purchases.

If you're wondering whether cashback is worth it, let me tell you it definitely is. With just one of these cashback websites, we've made over £7,000 between us since signing up, on things we were already buying and booking anyway.

These sites don't even include cashback offers you may already have through your bank cards. Some accounts offer cashback incentives for certain retailers, and you can often use those cards to shop via the links below too, stacking both rewards at once.

For example, I regularly shop on eBay via TopCashback. To pay, I use a Tesco Bank credit card, which I pay back in full every month. This means I get cashback from TopCashback, plus Tesco Clubcard points for using my Tesco credit card. Two ways to save on one purchase.

List of the Best UK Cashback Sites

Here are the UK cashback sites I actually use myself, along with the current signup bonuses and referral codes to get you started.

TopCashback (£10 cash bonus if you sign up with my link)

This is by far my favourite cashback website, and between us we've made over £7,000 since we signed up.

The bigger amounts tend to come from things like car insurance (around £45 cashback) or booking a holiday (around £60) or a ferry crossing (around £40), while everyday online grocery shops usually bring in a couple of pounds each time. So you can see how it all starts adding up.

We use it for online shopping, booking travel, booking car MOTs and services, insurance, savings products and more.

Quidco (£10 cash bonus once you earn £5 in cashback)

Some people prefer TopCashback, and some prefer Quidco. Sometimes they have different offers, so if one doesn't offer cashback where you're shopping, the other might.

It's free to open accounts at all these websites, so you may as well sign up to them all and start maximising your online savings.

(This bonus changes fairly often, it's been £5, £15 and £20 in the past, so check the current offer when you sign up.)

Cashback really adds up, putting potentially hundreds of pounds back in your pocket each year for things you were buying anyway.

Other ways to get cashback

Cashback sites aren't the only way to earn money back on your spending. A few other methods we use ourselves too:

Tesco Credit Card - we use this for our everyday spending, all budgeted from our monthly budget and paid back in full each month. We usually swap the points for restaurant vouchers, though they can also be used at Tesco for money off shopping.

Amazon Barclaycard - this gave us £50 of Amazon vouchers just for signing up, and now earns 1% cashback on all Amazon purchases. The balance can be converted into Amazon vouchers whenever you like.

A quick note on credit cards: I'd only recommend using one if you're confident you can pay the balance back in full each month. We treat ours as a tool for buying things we were already going to buy and earning cashback along the way, never as a way to borrow. If you carry a balance, the interest will cost you far more than any cashback is worth.

Loyalty cards - not technically cashback in the traditional sense, but they create real money off your shopping over time, for zero extra effort. Our favourites are Nectar, Tesco Clubcard, Holland & Barrett Rewards, the Boots card, and Costa.

Cashback really adds up, putting potentially hundreds of pounds back in your pocket each year for things you were buying anyway!

Which are my favourite cashback websites and apps in the UK?

I genuinely use all of these, but two are my absolute favourites. TopCashback is my favourite cashback site, and Sprive is my favourite cashback app for gift card purchases.

Start saving today

There are a lot of cashback sites out there. One thing's for sure: you're losing out on a lot of cash each year if you're not using cashback sites for your online shopping.

Since we started using cashback websites and apps, we've saved an average of £400-£500 a year for things we were already buying and booking anyway.

Get cashback for your receipts and in-store shopping too

Next, I recommend reading my list of apps that turn UK receipts into cash to save even more on your shopping and maximise your cashback.

You can genuinely get money back for snapping in-store receipts, sending e-receipts, and sometimes for buying certain items and proving the purchase.
