Natural beauty shower gel review: AA Skincare

Natural beauty shower gel review_ AA Skincare

It’s been a while since I’ve tried a new natural shower gel.  I’ve been quite lazy and just used my children’s bath products (natural of course) for a few months now.  So I was quite excited to be offered some natural ‘adult’ shower gels to review from AA Skincare.

AA Skincare has only just launched their plant inspired shower gels this January, so they are brand spanking new!

TheVeganKind Cruelty-Free Beauty Box

There are five herbal and botanical scents to choose from which all sounds incredible.  The gels are 99% natural and vegan friendly.  Developed to boost skin health, they are suitable for sensitive skin too.  Many of the ingredients help to soothe and protect the skin from irritations.  There are no nasties in sight which means they are free from yucky parabens and other artificial ingredients.

Woody Evans, Director at AA Skincare comments “Our new, dual purpose range is perfect for shower or bath and contains Ayurveda herb powders - time-tested, holistic ingredients that have played a part in healthy skin in India for more than 5,000 years - gently cleansing, nourishing and moisturising skin.”

Here are my thoughts on the two I chose:

Cedarwood & Peppermint Shower & Bath Gel

I went for this revitalising and awakening sounding scent as I thought it would be male friendly too, so Ben could use it also.  This is a fantastic scent to wake you up in the morning.  The peppermint makes it so refreshing and a whiff certainly makes you feel more alert!

It contains delicious sounding nourishing ingredients such as Brazil nut oil and murumuru seed butter.  Though they sound good enough to eat, they will nourish and cleanse the skin leaving it soft and supple.  My arms feel so smooth after every shower!

This is also a naturally antimicrobial body wash with a combination of ingredients to purify the skin.  AA says ‘Cedarwood Atlas oil works with Corn Mint oil to reduce irritation and gently refresh the skin.’

Rosemary, Sage & Burdock Shower & Bath Gel

This lathers up into a botanical scented delight.  I want to be outdoors amongst trees and nature showering next to a lake with this gorgeous scent!  It’s a silky smooth creamy gel with a luxurious feel.  My skin looks healthy and glowing with every wash.  It’s so moisturising, I definitely don’t need to use any additional body cream.

This gel contains a whole host of other natural extracts full of vitamins and minerals which soothe, tone and protect the skin, such as bay laurel, geranium and basil.  It’s filled with antioxidants and natural extracts which your skin will thank you for.

AA says ‘Rosemary essential oil, Burdock and Sage work to help boost circulation.’

This is my first experience of AA Skincare and I am impressed.  Some other natural shower gels don’t feel quite so luxurious and creamy.  It always pays to be good to your skin and natural is always best.  It’s fab to find a natural brand which delivers on its promises and are reasonably priced.
