Get ready for a blog post stuffed full of resources to help you make money online and from home!

Welcome to my monthly income report where I share how much money I have managed to make from home from freelance blog writing and various side hustles olnine and via apps such as mystery tasks, website testing, matched betting, online selling and cashback.  To read an in depth reason behind sharing my income reports start with the blog post why I publish income reports and click here to discover the top 3 ways I made money from home in 2017.

October 2018 Income Breakdown

The below are my totals before any deductions, so my total turnover for the month.  My yearly business expenses last year were approximately £4000.  I also save £500 per month to cover my annual tax, national insurance, student loan repayments and pension savings.  So my total monthly business expenses and business savings are approximately £830 currently.  So this amount can be deducted straight away from the overall figure at the end of this blog post for a rough indication of my take-home pay.

Blog writing - £2214.28

This is always my most lucrative method of income from home each month.  I love to write and thoroughly enjoy writing about topics that I am passionate about and have a lot to say, or researching topics I enjoy to discover more and share it in a more readable and relatable fashion.  Being able to write blog posts for a living is a dream and I hope it may continue.  For more blogging tips and advice on ways to make money from home and online read my blog posts how I made £26000 from home in 2017 and 10 ways to make money blogging

Personal eBay and Facebook Marketplace - £191.50

A nice bit of income from my personal sales on eBay this month which was mostly due to selling my old iPhone.  I had an upgrade back in the spring/summer and only just got round to selling my phone.  I was going to keep it as a spare, but decided it's probably best to sell before it goes down in value too much.  Touch wood I don't break my new phone!

Matched betting - £53.74

This figure would be £170 higher, but I made a massive boo-boo!  I made my first big matched betting human error mistake and I was absolutely gutted!  Those who matched bet will understand this, but those who don't will not understand the terminology - I accidentally copied the liability figure and lay that instead of laying the lay figure!  What an idiot!  Always double check the amounts!  So instead of making £10 profit on this particular bet I went and blooming lost £170.  I felt horrid about it for a couple of days.  It wiped out all my profit so far for the month, but I managed to still make over £50 in the last week of October, so felt a bit better!

I have made over £5500 profit since starting in January 2017, so I'm still in a lot of profit.

By following the instructions you will always make a profit if you take part in the risk-free offers, but remember human error can still happen, so always check and check again!  Don't rush!

I've also been gubbed from a lot of accounts now so I can't take part in their offers.  I knew this would happen as I don't have a strategy to keep my bookie accounts.  My game plan was always to just do the offers for as long as possible until they all gub me!  I feel that day is coming and perhaps my matched betting days are limited now.  There are others who take it more seriously and place 'mug' bets which are pretend bets that make them look like a real customer.  I just take part in all the offers to make a profit by matched betting so I probably stick out like a sore thumb when they are reviewing accounts!

I still highly recommend matched betting as it's made me £5500 in just under two years which is tax-free cash.  At first it was very time consuming, but once I got the hang of it I could make around £50 per hour with the little time I spent doing it.  As a side-hustle it is a brilliant and fun way to make extra money from home. There's no need to do every offer and you can take your time working through the sign up offers.  They are the most lucrative and I made my first £1500 in around 6 weeks!

I recommend using Profit Accumulator for matched betting as a beginner.  They have so many guides and walk you through the whole process in the first few offers.  If you are stuck you can ask a question in the forum and someone will get back to you.  They also have a 30 day money back guarantee on their memberships, plus you can try the first couple of offers without even signing up to anything to see that it really does work and is so simple once you get the hang of the free bet offers!
